Nissan Skyline GT-R | Top Secret R34

Flag South AfricaWhile leaving Durban on our way back towards Johannesburg, I spotted this neat Nissan Skyline GT-R 34 drift car. The Volk Racing TE-37‘s looked perfect on it and the overall condition was excellent. Must be fun to drift this incredible machine through the canyon roads up to the Kloof.

Datsun 1200 GX | A vintage petrol pump with a matching car

Flag South AfricaIt just happens sometimes, that you are in the right spot at the right time. Imagine walking past a vintage Shell petrol pump that is blocked by a boring new car, thinking you mustn’t forget to take a picture of it on the way back. And as you walk back an hour later after a cup of baie lekker hot chocolate and a biscuit, there is a matching vehicle parked right next to it. In this case a yellow Datsun 1200 GX with beautiful patina. A couple of minutes later it was gone again. This really happened in Pilgrims Rest, back in 2007 – imagine the smile it put on my face! ๐Ÿ™‚

Nissan Skyline GT-R34 Drifter in Karlsruhe

Flag GermanyThe first week after a long winter treated us to sunshine and quite agreeable temperatures in April 2010. While driving home, I found this yellow Nissan Skyline R34 drifter parked on a side road with a for sale sign on the dashboard. When I downloaded the files weeks later, I discovered something I never noticed when taking the pictures. The McDonalds billboard in the background says: We bring enjoyment to roll. Quite fitting, I suppose ๐Ÿ˜‰
